SCULPTURE
Sculpture is the three-dimensional expression of art:
modeling, carving and construction are its work methods. Contemporary
sculptors use a variety of material in their work; the Escuela trains
students to handle traditional materials such as wood, stone metal, and
clay, and encourages the use of innovative concepts and materials.
The bachelor's degree in art with a concentration
in Sculpture is designed to develop the students' knowledge and skills
in the field of Sculpture, enabling them to become professionals in their
field. On graduation students will be able to:
-
Use modeling and casting techniques, wood and stone construction
and carving, ceramic and metal sculpture.
-
Analyze, evaluate and create sculptures and objects.
-
Be able to make use of research, intuition, logic, and critical
and creative thought as tools in creating new solutions and
materials for sculpture.
-
Know the history of sculpture and work successfully in this
field.
-
To continue graduate studies in this specialty.
